Same outfit, just buttoned up the coat so you can see the fit. 

I wore this outfit out Saturday and received numerous compliments on this H&M coat.  It didn't break the bank at $49.99 + $18.00 to have the sleeves shortened.  If you're taller than 5'1" the sleeves will probably fit you just fine without alterations.  Sydney from Petite Little Girl does a wonderful review on this coat here.  If you've purchased this coat as well, please leave your information and I will link back to your post.

Don't buy it, recreate it: Anthropologie

I received my Anthropologie Fall Catalog yesterday and almost lost my breath when I came across the picture of this jacket!  I would so love to purchase such a lovely piece but my closet is already stretched to it's limits, not to mention my wallet.  (The fact that it's already sold out online didn't help either) Lol

All of these obstacles gave me the idea to do a post about recreating outfits that I can't just buy for some reason or another.  This is just an experiment, if you guys like it "Don't buy it, recreat it" will be regular feature for this blog in future.

So using the pieces I had available in my closet, here is my rendition of the amazing look above.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't buy the Anthropologie Tartan Boucle jacket given half the chance (because I so would).....
