H&M Paper Bag Skirt

I feel like I just stepped out of an old "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" TV series and I could be Kate Jackson or Beverly Garland either one! Lol 

I seriously love this skirt though.  It makes me think of the paper bag pants everyone's been wearing (except this is a skirt obviously ;)  Hhhhmmmm.......first flare jeans, now a paper bag skirt!  What about you guys?  Are you getting the 70's bug?!

Gap Wide Leg Trouser Review

So what do you guys think of these jeans?  I first saw them reviewed by Rose a la Mode.  They just came in the mail today and I'm loving the rise.  Being as curvy as I am, low rise jeans have never been my friend.  These are described as "high rise" but the fit is more of a mid rise and they feel comfortable and flattering.  My only concern is that the super flare on these will visually shorten my leg line.  Please help (and be brutally honest).  If they're not flattering I'd rather not be out the moolah for nothing!

Old Friends

We are in March now and as the days get longer and April approaches, I can feel myself getting a  bit more excited everyday.  For the past six months or more old friends have been packed away in the garage.  Their presence in my closet has been deeply missed.......(it's even possible that some of them were forgot so completely that they have even been replaced in error).
Of course, my anticipation of renewed acquaintance with these old friends is bittersweet since it means that some daily friends will be going away for awhile and "parting is such sweet sorrow".......sniff.

For those of you making the most of your closet space (or if you have ever had to in the past) I would love to hear how you decide what will stay in your closet and what will be packed away until the next season ;)

Oink, Oink!

Hello Lovelies.  I took some cues from Cee over at "To Brighten My Day" and added my necklace to the outside of my sweater.......looks fabulous right?!  I've been meaning to try this look all winter and I nearly missed my chance (this is the first bit of March you know ;)  Anyhoo...Sissy, Bubs and I met at PF Chang's for a fabulous dinner last night, don't you just love their lettuce wraps?!....candied walnuts, shrimp and melon balls?  I so meant to take pictures of all of the amazing food, but as soon as it arrived all camera thoughts were gone! Can you tell I trimmed my bangs myself?  Yep, just grabbed a pair of scissors this morning and zip, zlop!  Couldn't take it anymore.......Kellyanne, if you're reading this don't despair......I'll make an appointment for next week to get them fixed! Lol 

I bought this dress on my last trip to H&M but never had a chance to post pictures.  It's a faux wrap with a ruffled front.  I paid 34.95 brand new in the store and found it posted on e-bay for 69.99!!  Complete craziness for sure!

Blogworthy

Do you ever skip posting outfits because they're just not blogworthy?......Somedays if I get up late or don't plan the night ahead I fall back on the appropriate "work uniform" and wind up not posting just because I'm so bored with the oh so familar formula. 

That was not the case with this outfit, but it has nothing to do with my own styling brillance.  The moment I saw this outfit on Kendi I was on a mission to track down that amazing necklace and recreate her look.  I was not able to get the JCrew blouse that Kendi wore, but I did find this short sleeve blouse from the Loft Outlet and I believe it is a close enough look alike.  Saw it, fell in love, had to copy!
