A few notes about the outfits above............Outfit # 4 is for Lincy who also bought the Ann Taylor Shibori print top and is looking for different ways to style it.  I will be styling that top for Lincy in future posts (which will also help me get more wear out of it ;) 

The F21 Leaves Dress in # 5 was promptly returned after seeing how unflattering it was on me in pictures.  I saw the dress in the store and thought it looked just like Olivia Palermo.  Of course once I got it on, I looked nothing like Olivia (Really?!!) so it had to be returned! Lol

I must give credit to Mr. PEMS for #7.  I was feeling completely uninspired when I got dressed that day, so wound up copying his outfit from the day before......(of course his wasn't in skirt form) Lol

I hated missing last week's outfit recap but sadly my grandmother in law passed away and our youngest has started showing symptoms of feline leukemia.  She's been a carrier for years but is just now getting sick with it.

I'm looking forward to a wonderful B'day party with family at PF Chang's this weekend, hope you guys have a marvelous weekend as well!

Wow!  The first week of September already, can you believe it?  Fall is my absolute favorite season, but it always brings a bit of dread as well since the cold weather is definitely coming up. 

Thankfully, I will not have to brave the elements quite so much as I have in the past since I will be working at home in my toasty little P.J.'s  ;)  Joking! (maybe) Lol

Bestie Borrow

The beautiful girls over at Shop Mamie are hosting a Bestie Borrow competittion and I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate. 

I recieved this amazing dress from them and had the opportunity to style it up and then pass it on to my bestie so that she could style it in her own creative way.

I first heard about e-Shakti last year (I believe it was) when it seemed that bloggers all over the place had been contacted to do a review for this amazing clothing company.  The very cool thing about the clothes that you can buy from e-Shakti is any item on their website that you might fancy can be made to your particular specifications.  Do you prefer a v-neck to a round neck?..............Do you prefer cap sleeves to 3/4 sleeves? ..........Are you sick of buying blouses that fit everywhere else but doesn't accommodate your chest?  None of this is a problem for e-Shakti and incredibly enough, the price for these personally tailored pieces is not going to cost you an arm and a leg.

When I received the dress that e-Shakti sent me to review, I inspected it very carefully.  The quality was  wonderful and it put me in mind of Ann Taylor or White House Black Market items without the sticker shock.

The first pictures are to show you how the dress fits me (e-Shakti went off my exact measurements).  The rest of the pictures were just fun..............(You know I couldn't try something on without styling it)! Lol

I've been dying for a dress this color since none of the other ones I've bought have worked out.

The little smile on my face here means I've just discovered this dress has pockets! Yay

In case you guys didn't notice, I wanted to point out that not all of my outfits this week were exactly "office appropriate".  This could mean one of two things............1. I'm on vacation  or 2. I've officially received my work at home status and finally get to wear whatever I'm in the mood for! 

If you guessed  #2 then you win the prize!  .......(Actually, there is no prize but it's so exciting, I feel like I've just won something)!!

Now is the time to come up with a mantra for while I'm working to keep me focused ..............."I will not play in my closet all day, I will work at my desk.............I will not play in my closet all day..........".

Right!  Good luck with that, right?! Lol

Recent H&M Finds

I drove two hours Sunday to go shopping at our "local" H&M!  Lol  I went specifically after the polka dot pleated accordion skirt worn by Jean and Tara.  Sadly, the shopping fairies were not with me since the only sizes they had left ranged from size 6 to 10 and I'm pretty sure the 2 would fit me the best......(although I definitely would have tried on a 4 if it had been available for sure).

(Anytime you happen to see me in this skirt, expect me to be twirling) Lol

All was not lost however, I found this amazing skirt, sweater and shoes! The shoes are a soft orange suedette and are the perfect transitioning piece for my fall wardrobe. I actually took a display apart in order to try them on. The size says 5 but they fit just like my usual size 6. The skirt is a small, not extra small because I wanted the top of the waistband to hit just below my belly button. The sweater is an extra small and comes in two other colors, both neutrals.

Don't worry, I'll still be doing my outfit recap for this week.  I just wanted to show you guys a few of the pieces that are available right now at H&M if you were debating an upcoming shopping trip.  Other recent H&M items can be seen on Annie as well.
