Outfit Recap for Third Week of March

Really should have done a "Don't buy it, recreate it" post for this outfit.
Ann Taylor Blouse
Express Cropped Trousers
Loft Scarf
JCrew Coat
Tahari Pumps
Loft Wool Sweater/Jacket
Loft Shell
Banana Republic Outlet Trousers
Nine West Pumps
Banana Republic Outlet Necklace
Steve Madden Bag
Francesca's Wrap Watch
H&M Stretch Bracelet
Ann Taylor Bracelet
F21 Ring
H&M Ring
I had such high hopes for this new Loft dress but check out what happens below if your job requires you sitting at a desk all day!
That's right, the back sags out and creates a schlumpy butt!  No thank you, Loft I can get one of those on my own just by eating too many candies ;)

This outfit was inspired by Notes From the Dressing Room
Ann Taylor Blouse
Loft Sweater Jacket
Target Skirt
Madden Girl Booties
Steve Madden Bag
F21 Pearl Cluster Ring
So here is the long awaited Ann Taylor Petite Silk Camp Shirt
I have to say that although the shoulders are perfect, the sleeves on the other hand are too long and there is waaaay too much room in the body of the shirt :(
Perfect color though, right?!
(For the rest of the outfit)
Old Navy Cord Trousers
F21 Sandals
Steve Madden Bag
F21 Ring
American Eagle Necklace
H&M Halter Vest
Loft Shell
Ann Taylor Skirt (Thrifted)
Charlotte Russe Studded Double Wrap Belt (Traded)
Bandolino Wedges
Steve Madden Bag
Vintage Pearl Earrings (Gifted)

The good new is that the weekend is finally here! Whoo Hoo  The bad news is my much awaited Ann Taylor order was a complete flop :(  Sizes were inconsistent and quality didn't equal my recent purchases from WHBM.

So then the good news would be that I'm saving money since I'll have to return everything.  But then the bad news is I'll still have to be on the lookout for a fabulous silk blouse in olive or similar color.

Again, the good news is that Mr. PEMS is taking me on a shopping road trip to H&M Monday, but then the bad news is.....................nope, I got nothing.  That's all good!

Have a fabulous weekend Lovelies ;)

  3. I love all your outfits. But the thing I adore the most out of this week's post is how your hair changed from day to day. I had short hair a while back and was never really too creative when it came to styling it. I love all the hairstyles!

    1. Thank you Jenn! My hair is growing out so I'm starting to experiment with it a bit more......like what can I do in the shortest amount of time and with the least effort that will look like I've used a lot of both? Lol

  4. Hi! I loved all your outfits, especially the 4th one. I've also been unlucky with on line purchases so many times! You might like the Ann Taylor keyhole shell or the crepe wrap cutaway dress. I got them 40% off and I love them! Happy shopping! Hope you find something you love!

  5. I love so MUCH about these outfits! Gorgeous!! Also, IDK if I have ever mentioned it - but I LOVE your wardrobe. I really want something like that, but in a darker color for my office.

Its funny, I was JUST telling my sister how much I like your style, and how I love seeing the same items I own on you - though its funny - you usually have the other color :D

Sorry your Ann Taylor didn't work out, :( I have been severely disillusioned by them over the past year or so. IDK whats going on over there, but the corners they are cutting are really starting to show!

    1. Thank you Bianca! Mr PEMS and I found that wardrobe in his parent's attic. We sanded it down, re-finished it and inserted wooden vines where a mirror used to be in the small top door.

That is funny! My sister and I wind up with the same items all the time (even in the same color)but we style them so differently that it's not at all noticable ;) I do enjoy seeing you style the items that we both have, it's very inspiring!

It was too bad about the AT items.....better luck next time I guess! Lol

  8. Love the 4th outfit with the Target skirt--so classy! Especially love that sweater jacket. I just got a LOFT order of some new spring tops, shorts, & a dress, but only one top and the shorts fit right. The tops were both peasant style, both size small, and one seemed too big & the other too small! The good news is I got a bunch of $25 coupons with the order, so even if I return some things...

    1. Lol Kathleen! Don't you love those $25 coupons?!! Do you remember when they used to let you use them on everything in the store and not just full price items?....sigh Still, I love them and wish they were offered at more stores!

  9. Oh my gosh Callandra!! You seriously crack me up! I'm sorry your Ann Taylor order was a flop though :-( I hate opening up a box and having your giddyness fade to disappointment when things don't fit and the quality isn't there. But I love that you're looking on the bright side and focusing on the fact thT you just get to shop more! :)
As always, you look gorgeous and I can't just pick one fave!

Oh, and I CANT WAIT to see your loom for Wednesday's neon challenge! I just know it's going to be something I'll copy :-)

  11. I love that NFtDR inspired look! :))) And the Tahari two-toned shoes in the first outfit...you have such a fantastic closet, I would love to go play dress up in it someday. :)

And I am sorry to hear about your AT order and H&M trip - they are both so hit or miss...H&M supposedly replenishes their stock twice weekly (during the week, at least around here) so I find that things seem picked over by the weekend. :(

  14. Eep @ the LOFT dress! Even with the eating-too-much-candies-but, that outfit is still my favorite of this bunch. And I see that your cat agrees with me because it's the only one he made an appearance in ;)

  15. Always flawless! That does kind of suck about the back of the Loft dress...but can't we just walk backwards? ;)
Also, I love the way the loft sweater/blazer fits!

  19. Oooh no at the striped LOFT dress! I hate when that happens! I really do love that silk shirt, but too bad about the fit. You look great as always Callandra!

    1. It really was too bad Elaine! To the Loft's credit, they returned the dress no problem and apologized for the inferior quality! I surely wish that blouse fit better, although I returned it I have no idea if I'll be able to find a replacement. Thanks for your endlessly sweet comments Elaine!

  20. LOVING all these looks, especially the striped dress and white jacket. Too bad for the schlumpy bottom! Boo!

And I have the camp shirt in pink (not petite), but the sleeves are too long and middle too big also!

    xo, sam

  21. Thank you Sam! Yes, it is too bad about the camp shirt but I'm keeping a look out for one better ;)

  22. Hi Callandra - catch up time for me. I missed your blog and all your great outfits. Sooo, here goes...you look amazing in the black and white AT look outfit. So chic! And I LOL at your comment about the LOFT dress. I hate when that happens to skirts OR pants.

The rest, yup it's all good. :)
