Coffee Time

I had a little free time Monday night, so I sat down with the laptop to respond to comments and catch up on all of your very lovely blogs. I logged into Petite Early Morning Style, and as I reached for the chocolate hazelnut biscotti I had been jonesing for all day, I accidentally brushed against the freshly brewed Caramel Machiato at my elbow and a computer / coffee incident ensued.

Needless to say, the screen went black and after frantically hopping around the room shaking the computer over my head for a bit, I finally came to my senses and laid the laptop open and flat to dry.

As you can see, here I am, and all is well ;)  I love happy endings don't you?

  2. Oh man, that was epic. I am glad your computer is fine...that's a close call! I love your outfit, I am still learning to belt properly!

ps I keep meaning to comment on this but think it's weird what I am about to type. You remind me SO MUCH of the girl from Megamind...but I've been told that I see resemblance that isn't there. I think she's gorgeous though...hope you won't be offended.

  3. Oh thank goodness! That is a happy ending after all because you look simply cozy and lovely. I don't many other petite bloggers can pull off this long skirt plus sweater vest style.

Speaking of computer accidents...my bf was enamoured by his xbox and knocked my macbook onto the floor yesterday. It fell a few feet and landed on it's screen and my heart stopped! I'm on here too commenting which means that was a happy ending too : )

  4. I am glad that your computer is OK. You look very cute and tall in this outfit. I don't get to see a long skirt very often amongs the petite community.

  6. Lol! Glad your computer is all better! I seem to be attracting viruses! So many system restores have been done these last months! :( One was so bad that my husband had to wipe our desktop computer clean and buy Windows 7 to install!

Lovely outfit! The belted vest works so well with the long skirt!

  8. Oh, GOSH!!!! I hate that!!! I learned from trial-and-error that you shouldn't keep turning it on and off.... Good for you for letting it dry :)

    Love the long skirt!

  9. Oh man, I would have had a heart attack! I'm glad all ended well and you're back happily blogging away.

This plaid shirt + long skirt combo is great! Wouldn't have thought to pair the two together but you look so comfy and cozy :)

  11. I always love looking at your outfits and this one is quite a change with a long skirt. It's western yet contemporary and you always bring femininity to your outfits! Cute! =)

  16. Leena, Thank you, so am I! ;)

Elle, Yes, it was a heart stopping moment for sure. You think I look like Tina Fey? Hmmm..funny and fine...I don't mind the reference a bit - Thank you!

Jean, Oh wow! I'm so glad you had a happy ending too!! It's a heart stopping moment, so scary!

Sydney, I'm getting the feeling that maxi's will be bigger in 2011 than they've been the past few seasons, so I'v been experimenting ;)

Kileen, So many of you guys can relate to the coffee accident, that makes me feel so much better!

Michelle, Computer viruses really scare me too! It sounds like you and your husband are quite computer savy though. I always admire people who know how to handle computer problems.

Ping, I am so relieved! Btw, F21 has a few maxi's on their site (that's where I got this one)....forgot to post outfit details.

Elaine, Is it okay to just close the lid after each use? ...I don't take the time to shut it down, but I do have to click the start button when I open it up.....so maybe I should leave it open......?

Cee, Guess what!? I finally ordered those fabulous loft slim jeans you have through stylefinder! They looked so fabulous on you! - I can't wait 'till they get here!

Liane, You're so sweet. I think you'd look amazing in this outfit, just like a model ;)

Jess, Thanks...(you know how much I enjoy your outfit too!) I tend to get stuck in a rut sometimes and have to mix it up regardless of the outcome! HaHa

Tara, Thank you, I was very worried for a couple of days I can tell you! Please feel free to e-mail me anytime ;)

Allie, Me too! It does feel slightly "lounge wearish" or maybe casual fridayish! Hee

Z, Thank you for the sweet comment!

  17. Callandra - I think you look like the animated character voiced by Tina Fey...I don't really think you look like Tiny Fey. She looks more like Sarah Palin than a super chic petite blogger. :)

  18. Lol Elle! That's so funny, there is definitely a resemblance between Tina and Sarah. I never noticed before. I'm going to check out that animated character for sure ;)

  19. Great mix!! Texture, print, and a rough edge all rolled into one while still looking sweet and chic!! Now what bag I wonder? I'm thinking brown suede, slightly distressed back pack style? What would you put with?

  20. I LOVE your shirt/vest combo. So cute and classic! I'm glad your computer wasn't ruined!

  21. Bella Style, Hmmmm bag sounds cute. I don't think I've seen any backpack styles I like. Do you have a website in mind? ;)

Tiny in Texas, Thank you for the sweet comment (I'm so glad too)!!
