OOTD & JCrew Double Serge Pencil Skirt Review

Hi Guys,

Just getting ready for work tomorrow and threw together a really simple outfit that I thought I'd share.  It occured to me that I hadn't seen any reviews on JCrew since they've extended their sizes to include 00p, so here is the JCrew Double Serge Pencil Skirt.

So you guys know my measurements (or you can look them up in my profile).  Hopefully you will be able to tell if this skirt will work for you from the pictures below.  (Sorry about the cut-off head, I was trying to get as close to the skirt as possible).

I did order this skirt in the mustard and rose color too, but I can only keep one of them.  I'm trying to figure out which one will go with more of the stuff in my closet before I make the final cut.  Let me know what you think.......

Have a great Monday everybody!.....Almost forgot, I wore the cream colored Loeffeler Randall bag with this outfit that I wore in Extra Petite's Summer Work Outfit Giveaway.

  2. JCrew sizes are too big for me (even with petites). I gave up my shopping at JCrew a while ago. Personally, I love that skirt on you. It fits you quite well. If I had to pick, I probably keep the blue. Great find!

  3. I love, love that skirt and all the colors it comes in. So glad you posted this. I think I'm going to order mustard yellow and the charcoal. Since it fits so perfectly on you, I will probably need alterations (figured that already) so I'm holding out for a small sale of some sort to make the cost of alterations easier to swallow.

Btw, the link for the double serge skirt below your photo doesn't work...I think it has a few extra characters in it.

  4. PS - I think the link you used is for the photos from shopstyle. If you just want the link you can find the item again on shopstyle and choose "link only" for the correct link. Hope that helps : )

  5. Loving your blog. Very nice jcrew skirt. I'd probably hem an inche or couple inches..if you want to lengthen your legs ;)The whole look is elegant and chic!

  7. Love the skirt. I'm amazed that it fits so well. I got that skirt last year and I had to alter it and I'm about the same measurements as you! =P

  8. This is a GREAT color, I love work clothes that are colorful...as though most work days are stressful and colorless as they are.

Also, I don't usually love pointy shoes but I love the ones you are wearing in these pictures!

  9. The fit of the skirt looks great on you. I will be doing a review of the same skirt soon. My waist is a little smaller than yours, though I'm taller. I"m eager to find out about the fit on me. All 3 colors are beautiful.

  12. That skirt looks beautiful on you. Really nice from the back too - those darts are laying perfectly! (I know, weird thing to say, but I notice those things LOL)

Can you keep two? I love that blue for sure, and I think the pink will be a workhorse! The mustard is nice too though. LOL, no help over here I guess, but the skirt is a great fit for you. :-)
