Recent H&M Finds

I drove two hours Sunday to go shopping at our "local" H&M!  Lol  I went specifically after the polka dot pleated accordion skirt worn by Jean and Tara.  Sadly, the shopping fairies were not with me since the only sizes they had left ranged from size 6 to 10 and I'm pretty sure the 2 would fit me the best......(although I definitely would have tried on a 4 if it had been available for sure).

(Anytime you happen to see me in this skirt, expect me to be twirling) Lol

All was not lost however, I found this amazing skirt, sweater and shoes! The shoes are a soft orange suedette and are the perfect transitioning piece for my fall wardrobe. I actually took a display apart in order to try them on. The size says 5 but they fit just like my usual size 6. The skirt is a small, not extra small because I wanted the top of the waistband to hit just below my belly button. The sweater is an extra small and comes in two other colors, both neutrals.

Don't worry, I'll still be doing my outfit recap for this week.  I just wanted to show you guys a few of the pieces that are available right now at H&M if you were debating an upcoming shopping trip.  Other recent H&M items can be seen on Annie as well.

Ciao Lovelies ;)

  1. Lol! I was actually a little worried..."Uh...where is the outfit re-cap?!?!" :p

So glad you found something! You look so cute!!

As I am looking at your too-cute-kitty, Little Girl is cooing in the background for her special allergen-free food! Lol! She has to be on a special diet because the other stuff makes her tummy feel bad. :p

  2. Love love love this outfit! I have to go find those shoes and sweater. My H&M doesn't stock the polka skirt either but when I find it, I can pick one up for you. Small or extra small for you?

  3. I love this outfit, Callandra. Maybe someone can keep an eye out for the skirt for you (myself included). The online community is quite wonderful in that aspect. I think you might be a 4. The 2 I have fits smaller than almost any H&M item I own and measures about 23-24 inches in the waist.

Thank you CP;) I'm actually not sure what size I'd be ........Jean thinks I might need a 4.....I think I'm definitely going to have to try this on in different sizes. So thoughtful of you to offer though, thank you so much!!

Thank you Jean! Sounds like I'm definitely going to have to try this on for sure ;)

Hi Ruthless ;) I bought these glasses at Vision first. The brand is Vivid and the style # is 778 (Good Luck)!

  8. How small is your natural waist? if it's a 23", you'll fit a 2. any bigger, you wont be able to tuck anything in or breath. I'll let you know if I see a sz 2 or 4. wish u were on twitter.

  9. Hi Aubrey!....it's 24 inches ......the only reason I'm thinking a 2 is that's the size I have in all of my other H&M skirts.....yipes! I really hope I get to try this on (of course I'm very interested in breathing) Lol

  11. Love, love the skirt. This whole look is amazing.
Last time I was at H&M I saw that polka dot skirt but they only size 10 left. I was SO bummed. I wish H&M was closer to me...I would be visiting it quite often :)

  14. I'm pretty sure I saw the skirt in a size 2 at my H&M last weekend. I didn't bother trying it on b/c pleats and me do not get along. Are you sure you're a 2 or do you think you're a 4? If I go back to the mall this weekend, I'll keep an eye out for you :)

Love this entire look on you, but I think the glasses were the best accessory.

  15. I think I like this skirt better than the polka dot skirt. It's so feminine and it looks fantastic on you. This whole look is making me want to run to H&M right now!! It used to be the case that H&M's clothing were a bit lacking but I fall in love with most things I see there.

I sure did Tara, thank you!

    Thanks so much Jackie ;)

So sweet of you Cee, thank you! Honestly, now I'm a bit worried about the 2 not fitting! Lol I think this may be a skirt that I'm going to have to try on before I get it......

It is very feminine and romantic isn't it Jenn?! I don't usually do a total sweet and ladylike look but I couldn't resist with this skirt ;)

    Thank you Fashionista!

Hi Michelle! The sweater is an xs but you don't have to worry about it gapping even in this size....it's a lovely fit.

    Thank you PvdH!

It makes a nice little weekend road trip Victoria but I'd still be happier with it right next door ;) Lol
