I have really been looking forward to seeing everyone's outfits for this challenge. The weather here begins in the mornings around 45 degrees and ends up at 80 by the time I head home, so I'm really needing some styling inspirations.
I styled a Michael Kors dress I fell in love with and bought last year at his outlet store. The dress is sleeveless so I added a long sleeve knit bodysuit underneath for added warmth without bulky layers underneath the dress (a pet peeve of mine). The long cardi and boots (with woolen socks) complete the fall outfit.
I enjoyed styling the dress for summer and although the possibilities seemed endless, I dressed it up a bit with the accessories for fun.
Just bought this clutch at Express by the way...still haven't gotten over my obsession for the Michael Kors Berkley Clutch but this one was adorable, affordable and versatile. Express sends out coupons almost every other day so make sure to sign up for their e-mails for extra savings.
Can't wait to see everyone else's outfits for the challenge!
Happy Friday Everyone!
I really like the cardigan over the dress! It's a perfect length for you :)
ReplyDeleteHow can one go wrong with Fall with a long cardi and boots? I like both outfits, but esp. the first one as it is so "Callandra."
ReplyDeleteI agree with PAG that the classic way to transition dresses for fall is to add boots and a long cardigan! :) Love how you're always so perfectly accessorized!
ReplyDeleteLove the boots and cardigan to dress up the dress. It looks so effortless and stylish. I agree with PetiteXXS...great accessories! =)
ReplyDeleteI love the brown boots! Those are the colors i'm looking for :)
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your boots...and your whole fall outfit! I love the gold accents for both looks. Nicely done! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the print on the dress and you are so great at accessorizing!
ReplyDeleteAnd I see on the sidebar that you got those Talbots pants (in 0p, I assume)...I can't wait to read your review. I'll be stopping by a Talbots this weekend but I heard that not every store carries their new (and smaller cut) line.
This outfit rocks :) I'm still in search of a long cardi and I want every single pair of boots I've been seeing during these challenges LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing as always.
The dress looks so different by the way that you styled it! A smart idea of adding a bodysuit instead of a cami underneath your dress. I find it bothers me a ton when I look down and at the end of the day my cami had bunched up and it looks like I have 2 tummy rolls. Love both of your bracelets in your outfits! I agree with CurlsandPearls that I've been wanting each and every pair of boots that I've been seeing!
ReplyDeleteI love your dress and the way you styled it! It looks great with the cardi and the color of the boots is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you styled your clothes! Can I ask what boots you are wearing? I am going crazy trying to find boots with a small calf circumference!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfits, both! I adore the boots. I love the way boots (when worn right) can dress up almost any outfit.
ReplyDeleteCUTE! I really love your boots and fall-look in general! Gorgeous styling for both :)
ReplyDeleteSuch great styles! I love how to paired your black/white dress with brown boots. You always do such a good job with your jewelry.
ReplyDeleteLove how the cardigan is the perfect length for the dress! Really feeling your fall outfit :) The necklace and bangles are also the perfect complements.
ReplyDeleteErin, I really got lucky on the cardi length since I didn't buy them together.
ReplyDeleteJean, Totally agree, even though this is a summer dress I tend to wear it a lot more in the fall.
Liane I'm an accessories freak - Have way more than I'll ever wear!
ReplyDeleteStylepint, I tend to wear these boots with everything in the winter, they seem to go with everything.
Olyvia, I was on a mission to find boots in this color last winter and just happened to stumble across them while doing some personal shopping for a client - lucky!
Michelle, Thank you. I tend to wear more gold than silver (not sure why).
Elle, I couldn't find anything smaller than a 2 petite in the store and the smallest size they carry is 0 petite, so I'm a little anxious but I'll keep you posted for sure.
ReplyDeleteC&P, Thanks so much...ATL has a lot of long cardis right now if you get a chance check them out!
Hanna, Isn't that the worst feeling?...and really the last thing I need is extra fabric bunching around my middle.
Jess, Thank you for the very kind compliment!
Sandy, Absolutely! The brand is Bandolino. I bought them at Macy's last winter season. They have an adjustable calf circumference and are sooo comfy. I highly recommend. Let me know if you have any more questions about them.
Vicky, Thank you, I was very happy with the winter outfit for sure.
ReplyDeleteSew Petite, Thank you, so sweet.
Petite Little Girl, I pair these boots with everything, they're so comfortable.
Em, Thank you. There are so many colors in that outfit that there are many jewelry options.
ReplyDeleteThe fall outfit is my favorite!! Such an adorable fall outfit - I could see this outfit in so many different settings - very versatile!!
ReplyDeleteBella Style, Thanks...I'd love to hear if you have any styling ideas for the spring/summer ensemble!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of doing a tulip skirt with boots and sandals. The colors of the skirt lend itself to both seasons and should be easy to transition : )
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty dress! I love how you styled it for fall.
ReplyDeleteWOW you look absolutely amazing and that dress is truly beautiful. It really looks special on you. I love how you styled it for both seasons, especially for summer, adding the fun and trendy golden jewelry and the light gold strappy sandals, the dress would be the perfect outfit for a day out in Miami or even Paris or Rome. It would be great for a dinner date afterwards too. Same exact outfit would work for a casual backyard wedding, too.
