Easy Like Sunday Morning

Okay, so it's really Sunday night now, but believe me, this morning was totally the song.  Mr. PEMS and I spent all day lounging around the house, doing the occasional load of laundry and catching up on a couple of our favorite TV series............I didn't even have to change into P.J.s to get back in bed........how convenient is that?!!

Anyway, here's what I didn't look like today ;)

Ciao Bella Fashionista's!

  1. Gorgeous!! I always loved denim and orange together and wow, paired with that skirt, I would have NEVER thought to do that! Hmmm..I may have to start looking at my "work" skirts and seeing how I can wear them on the weekends.

  2. My weekends are saved for lounging around in pjs and being a couch bum! I loved that you put this outfit together for the sake of your blog. =0D The mix of prints is so creative, adore the polkadots and animal print.

  3. So daring with the dots and leopard print...but it works so well!

Not changing out of pjs sounds nice! I love sitting around the house and just cleaning. I did some early spring cleaning in the cat room today...totally emptied the old litter and scrubbed the litter box and replaced it new, way-better-than-before, litter! Sounds so weird that I feel accomplished because the cat room has been re-done! Lol!

  4. C&P, Thank you, this is a favorite color and print mix of mine....I was thinking of recreating it with different pieces today....but we'll see how it turns out ;)

Thank you Hannah, but I have to be honest....this picture was just sitting in my archives. I didn't actually get out of my p.j.s.......hee

Michelle, Actually I totally did the same thing! ...that's so funny!! My girls have an auto box but it still requires maintenance and such to keep it fresh. ;)

  6. I was on this blog, The New Professional. She was talking about wearing skirts and boots. I was saying how I wasn't a fan -- that is, on most other ppl, except you! I dont know how, but you always pull it off so nicely <<and that's hard for me to say b/c it's not my favorite combo.

  8. So yesterday was lounging and changing litter box day huh? I got the memo and played along. I really like this outfit. I think the mix of fabrics makes this a "go anywhere" outfit. Drinks with the ladies, shopping, work. I love outfits like that. Loving the orange.

  9. Thanks Leena!..I had to finagle a bit to get the ring to stay on, but it was so worth it!

Aubrey, I have to be honest with you, I am not a fan of the boots and skirt combo either!...(especially on petites). I think the combination visually shortens the leg line and oftentimes comes across looking quite frumpy depending on the style of skirt being worn. I really appreciate the compliment though because with the weather we've had, not wearing boots isn't always an option. You've helped me feel so much better about it - Thank you!!

Welcome Victoria, Thank you so much for the sweet comment!

  14. Dawn Marie, So glad to have another animal lover commenting! Very good point, this does feel like a "go anywhere" outfit!

Thanks Tara...I really love this skirt!

Thank you Annie....mixing dots and leopard print is one of my favorite looks ;)

Bella Style, I'm absolutely certain that this is a Jcrew look that got stuck in my subconscious somewhere along the way and finally made it's way out through my closet ;) hee

Kileen, I love this denim top...and the belt for that matter...both made even better since they were under $6.00 a piece ;)

  15. Your Sunday sounded like my weekend, haha. Love those lazy days. Chambray, polka dots, orange, and leopard prints!? You are brave and creative, Callandra!

  16. I looove lazy Sundays... wish everyday could be like that! I like the idea of skirt & boots on others, but for myself I feel like can only manage to pull it off if I wear black boots with black tights, which is kinda cheating a little :P

  17. Cee, It is a lot to mix together for one outfit, but I tend to do that sometimes ;)

Actually Liane, you're so tiny that I bet you could pull it off better than the rest of us. Your slight shape always puts me in mind of Kate Moss.....I'm so jealous! ;)

  18. You look beautiful and relaxed Callandra. Those boots are a MUST-BUY. I should have bought that cute tiered Polka Dot skirt at White House Black Market when I had the chance, it's too cute on you.
