Review: Tucker For Target

Thanks to Lisa at Respect the Shoes I heard that Target re-released some of the dresses from their Go International collection this week!  Of course I scooted my tushie down there to check it out ;)  This dress by Tucker for Target has been seen on several bloggers.  A bit big on my short frame, but I think once I got it styled it looked just fine.

Not to shabby....I kind of like it.  So the sleeves are supposed to be bracelet length and the hem is supposed to hit a bit closer to mid thigh..............not the end of the world right?  What do you think?

  1. I really like it Callandra! The print is cute and even though it's a bit longer on you than on the model, I like it!

  2. Aw, the belt makes all the difference! You look great in this dress - the coloring really complements you!

    (Thanks for the shoutout!)

  3. The dress alone makes it pretty shapeless (if you ever need a maternity dress ...) but it looks totally different with a wide waisted belt! Eh, better too short in the sleeves than too long, yes? You always have the cutest bracelets so you can show off your accessories more in my opinion!

  4. i think the dress looks really great once you belted it. you might also consider frying the dress in the dryer and seeing how much it'll shrink. it does look like it has some extra room all around. either way, i love the print and great Target find!

    cute & little

  5. oh yes....i love it with the belt and styled with those boots. the belt makes a world of difference and gives it a nice shape. i'd have to say this is one of my favorite pieces from the collection.

  6. The dress looks perfect on you. I was reading comments posted on Target today by these tall gals (5'6" above)and they said xs fit them perfectly. If that's the case, how come it fit you so well and look so lovely on you. The ankle booties and leather belt had lend a nice finish.
    Two thumbs up!

  7. It looks great on you, but I was meh about it on me. IRL I could see how much extra fabric there was when I belted it and I was torn between "Is this cute and slouchy?" or "Is this just sloppy?" I'm about an inch bigger all over and an inch taller than you - it's shocking what a difference that can make in how the same dress can look!

  8. i got this dress too- i'm your height, but still carrying baby weight, and a small worked perfectly for me. however your own belt is a MUST. i had it on the way it came and loathed it. once i put my own belt on- i called it a keeper... and when i do get pregnant again- it'll be fabulous w\ the belt it came w\ as a maternity dress

  9. Super cute. I need to remember that dresses can be belted. I typically would never even try a dress like that on.

  11. Yikes, what a difference a belt can make! if you didn't belt it it's like a nightgown but with it it's incredible. I love the print!

  15. Thank you for commenting Erin, I appreciate your help!

I really liked this color for me too lisa, (and thanks for the tip off ;) hee

Good point about the sleeves Hannah!!..and I do love to wear bracelets for sure ;)

Thank you Kileen, I think I'll try that. With the extra room all around it sure wouldn't hurt to shrink a tad!

    Mine too Ping!...(obviously I guess ;)

    Thank you Anonymous..... 5'6".....sigh ;)

Sounds like it might have been a better fit for you Anonymous....I didn't try it with the self belt but I imagine it could give you an idea of how it might look when worn with a leather one ;)

Sounds perfect McMel....what a great way to make it do double duty!

Thanks Heather! (I forget to belt skirts a lot)!

Totally hear you Kish.....and how many times have I done that myself?!! Lol

Thank you Elle.......(and I love the idea of wearing it as a nightgown) hee Double duty right?
